New services introduced in Phase II include the following :

  • OSS Reference Architecture
A reference architecture for OSS desktop and server computing systems for public sector agencies for some uniformity in the deployment of the key OSS technologies. This will help to reduce technical support complexity and enable adoption of the best practices for common OSS solutions.
  • Web Application Guidelines
A set of guidelines for the government of web applications to streamline the use of appropriate OSS technologies and tools to achieve rapid and effective aaplication development.
  • One OSCC Portal

A consolidated web portal for OSCC with new and enhanced services, utilizing Content management System for collaborative administration.

  • Advanced Virtualization Facility
A unique facility that divides resources of a computer into multiple execution environments, by applying technologies such as hardware and software partitioning, machine simulation and quality of service. It enables Public Sector agencies to test and evaluate OSS solutions remotely by utilising hardware resources at OSCC. It is provided for a fixed period of time to enable more agencies to utilise the facility.
  • OSS Vendor Classification
A listing of OSS vendors classified by their expertise areas, support capacity & presence to assist public sector agencies in vendor selection process.
  • Train the Trainer
A programme for creating a pool of OSCC certified trainers to extend the reach of OSS trainings in the country.
  • Web-based Self-learning OSS Program
An online internet-based, self-help learning facility to enable OSS education at the students own place.
