MAMPU Deputy Director General, YBhg. Dato' Dr. Nor Aliah Binti Mohd Zahri delivers an inspiring speech to officiate the launching ceremony of the Certified Training Provider Programme (CTP) for Institut Perubatan Dan Pergigian Termaju (IPPT), University Sains Malaysia on 23rd August 2010. The Institut Perubatan Dan Pergigian Termaju (IPPT), Universiti Sains Malaysia conducts the first Open Source Software (OSS) training as a CTP. CTP is part of the Malaysian Public Sector Open Source Programme, led and coordinated by MAMPU to encourage the adoption, development and implementation of OSS by Government agencies.
AMDI is leading the way for all CTPs by conducting the “Introduction to OpenOffice.org” training course that will benefit students and Government personnel. AMDI is encouraged to further build their trainer skills to deliver more open source programmes in the future.

The mb-e, the technology and e-commerce section of the August 1st - 15th, 2010 issue of the Malaysian Business Magazine, reported on Malaysia's outstanding leadership and accomplishment in Public Sector OSS implementation as proven by the whopping 97% adoption rate.
The news, headlined "The Rise of OSS", featured talk between MAMPU director general, Datuk Mohamad Zabidi Zainal and mb-e on government's OSS effort.

MAMPU has accepted the invitation from ICT centre of the Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) to participate in their "Program Hari ICT dan Galakan Membaca 2010" on 5 August 2010 at UPSI Tanjung Malim, Perak. The event will feature ICT forum, ICT showcase exhibition, Educational Blogging Competition and ICT training.
